In 2025, FBC Dumas initiated a program to develop men as Lay Pastors. This includes training in theology, preaching, and shepherding the congregation effectively.

DEACONS
The Deacons are the servants of the church. They are men called and chosen according to the biblical qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Deacon nominations are received annually. If a candidate meets the biblical qualifications and is approved by the existing Diaconate, candidates are presented to the congregation for approval.
